Now inviting founding dealers

Price the whole lot before the customer sits down.

A walk-in sets a box of coins on your counter. CounterMint helps organize it into an itemized, branded offer at your margins, using reviewed sold comps and recorded market context. You review every line. Optional repricing and remote acceptance operate inside your settings and deadlines.

We use US-based AI companies only, through API agreements, so none of your data or your customers’ data is ever used to train models.

Comparison at acceptance

The saved comparison at acceptance modeled a $40.58 online net after about $20 in fees and shipping. The accepted offer was about $27 more than the modeled online net.

Recorded quote details and photo credit

The $68 amount was fixed when Harold accepted in this Demo scenario. The dealer confirmed one minute later. The recorded visit deadline was October 7, 2026 at 8:01 AM EDT; that historical window has ended.

The saved calculation used a $60.86 modeled resale basis, less $20.28 in selling costs, for a $40.58 modeled online net. This is an estimate, not resale proceeds or a current offer.

What CounterMint is

Coin dealer software for dealer-controlled, itemized purchase offers.

CounterMint™ is coin shop pricing software for the buy side of the counter, the moment somebody walks in with a collection to sell. It organizes an incoming lot line by line, applies the pricing rules you set, shows the market context behind each number, and produces one itemized purchase offer you can hand over and defend.

It is built for professional coin, paper-currency and bullion dealers. Mixed coin lot pricing, bullion buy prices, scrap gold, certified type and raw material all run through the same workflow, at your margins, with a person approving every number.

What it does

From a collection on the counter to an offer they can act on.

Bring the items, pricing evidence and customer decision into one dealer-controlled workflow.

Build the lot with less re-entry.

Start with photos, review the extracted details, and organize a mixed collection into itemized lines.

Put comps at your fingertips.

See what is listed on eBay right now beside what has actually sold, with each comp matched to your coin, flagged for review and outlier-filtered.

Bring your guide into the workflow.

With your CDN API key, automatically resolve eligible GSIDs and populate matched-grade Greysheet references. Review grade/CAC ladders and Blue Book comparisons.

See the market around the offer.

Metals Insights brings price history, SMA, RSI and MACD together with a bullish/neutral/bearish technical gauge.

Make the value clear, then settle at the counter.

Present your branded, itemized quote with a modeled comparison of online selling costs. Customers can review, accept or counter eligible items remotely. When they come in, record how each deal was paid, with the final amount, and hand them a receipt by print, email or text.

You stay in control.

Set your margins, pricing weights, repricing limits and approval rules. Accepted amounts lock, with your configured visit window after confirmation. Every quote stays on record, searchable by customer, item, date and staffer.

Know your exposure before you make the next offer.

Most shops track open offers and commitments by hand, or not at all. Exposure keeps the running totals for you, by metal, against the budgets you set, and warns you before the next quote takes you over.

More than software. A partnership.

A founder on it 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Priority support, and a roadmap we shape together from your feedback. Secure backups, restore-tested on every release. Maintenance, security updates and new features, staged so they never disrupt your data or workflow. A small, founder-run business that cares about its work and its clients.

Your margins on every line.
Evidence behind every number.
An offer your customer can act on, at the counter or from home.

Exposure

Always know your exact exposure and commitments.

Every open offer and commitment, by metal, to the dollar. Exposure counts every quote line exactly once and shows where you stand: what is out, what customers have accepted, what you have confirmed and what has settled. Every total states its basis and as-of time, and the dashboard, PDF and scheduled email all use the same definitions.

An illustrative counter scenario

The paper is where the margin leaks.

In this illustrative scenario, not a measured dealer result, the customer waits an hour, often more, while the pile gets worked down with a loupe and a notepad. They leave with a column of abbreviations and a total. Then they do it again at two more shops.

At the kitchen table that night, three sheets of shorthand are supposed to represent a collection. One doesn’t say which number belongs to which piece. One has nothing on it identifying who wrote it. Nothing compares to anything, so they pick the biggest number, or they pick nobody.

Four days later they come back. To the one shop whose name was on the paper. They want nine of the twenty-three, spot has moved, and it all gets priced again by hand while they watch. Then explained, because the number changed. Three hours of skilled work to buy one lot, and two of them produced nothing you can sell.

Meanwhile the customer is driving across town to compare shorthand against shorthand, and the market is moving under all three sheets while they do it. The shop that was highest on Tuesday isn’t by Friday. Often they would have done better taking the first offer, and nobody was in a position to show them that.

CounterMint helps reduce repeated entry and arithmetic: review the extracted lines, check your rules and issue an itemized offer under your shop’s name. Optional repricing follows eligible market context inside configured limits; you still check freshness and exceptions.

The customer can reopen, compare and accept eligible lines from home while the quote is valid. Clear itemization makes the offer easy to explain.

The customer’s copy

A quote they can read.
A decision they can bring back.

Put the itemized offer under your shop’s name. A customer can review the eligible lines, see a compact explanation of the modeled cost of selling online, and return to the same quote within its configured deadlines. It also shows how spot has moved since you issued it, so a changed offer explains itself.

Harold’s recorded Demo acceptance above fixes the offer at $68. At acceptance, that was about $27 more than the saved modeled online net. It is a fictional scenario, not a resale result. The customer copy here shows a different Demo lot.

The customer copy keeps the explanation compact. Dealer Show math carries the detailed fee, shipping and modeled-net arithmetic.
